Life Sciences Career Fair

The Life Sciences Career Fair is an annual event that connects high school students with local businesses and organizations in Bloomington's booming Life Sciences sector.  Through these interactions students learn about the wide range of careers available to them in the sciences and what it takes to enter the field.  This year's event welcomed nearly 200 students to Ivy Tech's Indiana Center for the Life Sciences where they spent the morning networking with over 30 professionals including several first time exhibitors!

This year, the event had more hands on exhibitions than ever before.  Students had a change to experience exactly what it's like to work in these fields.

A first time exhibitor, this Indiana Stat Police's Crime Lab Unit had the most eye catching table complete with caution tape and bloody footprints.

Ivy Tech's Respiratory Care program upped the ante this year by bringing in an acutal lung for students interact with.

We were happy to have Cook Pharmica back again at this year's event!

Williams Bros. came ready to rock at this year's Life Science Career Fair complete with white lab coats and a display.

Baxter's representatives did an excellent job of engaging with students at the Life Sciences Career Fair.

And last but not least, here's Antonella Thurmond one of the secret's to this event's success!  The Life Sciences Career Fair couldn't happen without her help and the support of her team at Ivy Tech.
