BEDC: Bloomington Economic Development Corporation
The BEDC is the lead business retention, development and attraction entity for Bloomington and Monroe County, Indiana; the lead intermediary between local businesses and state and federal economic development assistance programs and the host for the Bloomington Life Sciences Partnership (BLSP) and the Bloomington Technology Partnership.
Through its strategic plan, special projects and extensive relationships and partnerships, the BEDC helps create programs to fill gaps in the local economic development system. Because of this, the BEDC has evolved from an organization originally formed to undertake business attraction to one that focuses on business retention and expansion, new business development and partnerships with Indiana University and Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington.

The Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC)
ISBDC is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to have a positive and measurable impact on the formation, growth, and sustainability of small businesses in Indiana and to develop a strong entrepreneurial community.
The ISBDC provides assistance to entrepreneurs at every stage of business development. Clients range from individuals who need assistance in deciding if self-employment is right for them to business owners looking to expand overseas. ISBDC Business Advisors have access to nationally recognized research tools in order to help clients make calculated business decisions.

SCORE
SCORE is a non-profit association providing free counseling and low-cost workshops to the small business community. SCORE provides professional guidance and information - which is accessible to all - to maximize the success of existing and emerging small businesses. SCORE members are trained to serve as counselors advisors and mentors to aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners. These services are offered at no fee, as a community service
A resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration, SCORE counselors bring to clients real-world experience. SCORE volunteers have specific industry and business management expertise. SCORE business counselors may be working or retired business owners, business executives or operations managers – and all SCORE counselors receive specialized training in counseling skills.
