A fun simulation that teaches the link between academics and real life. Students are assigned a salary based on their GPA, which they then use to buy housing, transportation, groceries, insurance, child care, clothing, electronics, vacations, etc.
Volunteers of various professions make classroom presentations about work, life, and career paths. As a result, students get a real-life glimpse into the world of work after high school. More than 100 trained speakers from a wide variety of careers are available.
Students are provided the chance to practice their interviewing skills with community professional in a supportive setting.
Placements for students that provide hands-on learning experiences in a real-world setting. The Franklin Initiative connects students to dozens of local businesses and other organizations eager to offer their time and attention.
