Join Young Professionals Bloomington on Wednesday, July 29th, from 5-7:30pm for a volunteer event at the Bloomington Community Orchard.* The Orchard is publicly owned and maintained by volunteers, and its harvest is available to everyone in the community. Check-in and snacks will be available from 5-5:30pm, with the volunteer event starting at 5:30. We’ll be weeding the plants and trees, organizing the compost area, and sifting the compost piles to collect compost for the trees. We’ll likely sweat and get dirty, so please plan accordingly by wearing closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. We look forward to seeing you there and serving the community together!

P.S.- If you have garden gloves of your own, please bring them along. The Orchard will have a limited supply of gently used gloves.

    * If the weather is not conducive on July 29th, the rain date is set for the following Wednesday, August 5th, at the same time and location.
