You’re invited to a joyful celebration as the City of Bloomington officially opens its newest green space — Hopewell Commons! On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 3:30 to 6:00 pm. Our ceremony will begin at 4:15 pm; bring your family, friends, and your love for the outdoors — because this celebration has it all!
There will be music to set the vibe, food trucks serving up tasty local eats, fun games for all ages, and “A Day in the Park” Door Prize Giveaway – You won’t want to miss this!
This beautiful new green space is part of the developing Hopewell neighborhood on the site of the former IU Health, Bloomington Hospital Campus. Join us as we, celebrate community, and make some wonderful memories at Hopewell Common!
Hopewell Commons is at 322 W. University St., just west of the Seminary Square Kroger.
Limited parking (including accessible parking) is available at Hopewell Commons. Visitors are invited to walk or bike via the B-Line Trail. Overflow parking is available at the Monroe Convention Center, 302 S College Ave.
Bloomington Parks and Recreation will provide an accessible electric golf cart shuttle between the Convention Center and Hopewell Commons.
