| The Community Justice and Mediation Center (CJAM) is offering a 32-hour training program for community members interested in learning about conflict resolution, mediation, facilitation and restorative justice practices. These skills are useful in all areas of life—family relationships, work relationships, volunteer work, etc. If you are interested in enhancing your communication and listening skills, along with learning basic mediation and negotiation techniques, this is a great opportunity for you. The training offers hands-on skill development, combining small and large group discussions, demonstrations, and interactive exercises. Completion of the training qualifies participants to become volunteer mediators with CJAM.
Training sessions will be held via Zoom on Tuesday/Thursday evenings (7:00-9:00 PM Eastern) and Saturday afternoons (12:00-4:00 PM Eastern). Dates are January 28, 30; February 4, 6, 11, 13, 25, 27; and February 1, 8, 15, March 1. Tuition is $300, with an early bird special of $275 if received by January 15, 2025. A limited number of scholarships are available—just ask!
