Bloomington Women in Leadership (BWIL) invites you to “All You Can Ask Buffet with the Ladies of Resilience”; an INSPIRE event featuring a Q&A Session with the creators of Resilience: Danielle Bruce, Gladys De Vane and Elizabeth Mitchell.
Resilience Productions is a Bloomington-based production company conceived by Bruce, De Vane and Mitchell; three women who believe in the power of storytelling. As an ensemble, they research, write and produce live performances that are inspired by actual historical events. These productions intend to cultivate an awareness as much as to entertain. They depict the African American experience from hardships and struggles to triumphs and successes. Resilience is recognizing those bold men and women of African descent, ensuring their legacy will not be forgotten.
On August 8th, we’ll get to hear about their process of developing a stage performance, about their independent projects, and their relationships with one another. We are sure to be INSPIREd by this creative and entertaining ensemble!
