The Monroe County Humane Association (MCHA) is dedicated to promoting the welfare of animals, strengthening the human-animal bond, and providing access to veterinary care & humane education across our community since 1956.. We are a direct service provider for accessible veterinary services, animal care resources, humane education, and a leading animal welfare advocate for our community. We are an independent, local 501c(3) nonprofit organization that relies on donations, sponsorships and grants to fund all of our programs. We do not receive government funding or tax dollars and are not associated with national animal welfare organizations. MCHA opened our Animal Care Campus at the beginning of the pandemic in April, 2020. Our full service Nonprofit Veterinary clinic has remained open during Covid, as well as our E. Susan Bartlett Emergency Housing Center, where our pet food pantry operates.
