Hoosier Fiber Networks is a company dedicated to the build out of a fiber-to-the-premise network that is anchored in Bloomington, serving an estimated 77,000 households and businesses across Bloomington, Columbus, Shelbyville, and Bartholomew County. On this network, GigabitNow will offer service of at least 1gbps symmetrical speed everywhere the network reaches. In partnership with the City of Bloomington, the project includes a Digital Equity Program geared towards providing ubiquitous network coverage to all communities regardless of income level. Through federal subsidy programs, the project will provide reduced-price internet service for qualifying households. Hoosier Fiber Networks will provide reliable high-speed fiber to unlock access to telehealth, online education, and remote-work opportunities for all Hoosiers.
