Seven Local Leaders to be Honored with Women Excel Bloomington Awards Bloomington, IN – May 4, 2018 – The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce has announced the seven Women Excel Bloomington (WEB) 2018 honorees. These local women were chosen based on their outstanding leadership, business acumen, entrepreneurship and community involvement. The 9th Annual WEB Awards cocktail reception and celebration will be held on Thursday, May 31, from 4:00 to 6:30 pm in Indiana University’s Henke Hall of Champions. Those to be honored at the 2018 Women Excel Bloomington Awards Luncheon are: • Lisa Abbott, Executive Vice President, Bloomington Board of Realtors • Amanda Burnham, Vice President of Operations, Burnham Rentals • Kyla Cox Deckard, Director of Communications, IU Center for Rural Engagement • Jane Kupersmith, Co-Owner, Hopscotch Coffee and Rainbow Bakery • Christi McBride, Director, Hoosier Hills Career Center (MCCSC) • Laurie Burns McRobbie, First Lady, Indiana University • Doris Sims, Director, Housing & Neighborhood Development, City of Bloomington “We look forward to celebrating these seven women at this year’s WEB Awards,” said Jim Inman, Jr., Director of Marketing and Communications for The Chamber. “They have their individual backgrounds, experiences and talents, and inspire their colleagues and friends with their leadership, volunteerism and love for Bloomington.” The event would not be possible without the support from sponsors, including: Cassady Electrical Contractors; Cook Group, Inc.; IU Athletics; Solution Tree; Smithville; Nature’s Way; Markey’s Rental & Staging; IU Credit Union; Hoosier Energy; IU Health Bloomington; Ivy Tech Community College – Bloomington; and Mallor Grodner.
